Custom Build Process
Custom Build at Cyclingdragon is a structured process, not a preconfigured package.Every build starts with clear intent and ends with a bike that works as a complete system. The goal is not to maximize options, but to make the right technical decisions — once.
How it works
1. Understanding the rider
The process begins with understanding how and where the bike will be used.Riding style, terrain, goals, and preferences define the technical direction of the build. This step is about clarity, not commitment.
2. Frame and platform selection
Based on the intended use, we define the appropriate platform:geometry, material, and structural characteristics.Frames are selected according to engineering criteria, real-world performance, and long-term reliability — with UCI standards used as a reference, not a limitation.
3. Component matching
Components are chosen to work together as a system.Compatibility, performance balance, and serviceability are prioritized over isolated specifications.Every choice is evaluated in context, not in isolation.
4. Configuration and validation
Once the build is defined, the configuration is reviewed as a whole. This includes fit logic, drivetrain compatibility, braking performance, and overall balance.Adjustments are made before anything is finalized.
5. Build and delivery
After confirmation, the build is completed according to the defined specification. The result is a coherent, purpose-driven bike — not a collection of parts.
Custom Build is not about endless customization. It’s about making informed technical decisions and executing them properly.
