Frames are the foundation of every build. Geometry, carbon layup, stiffness targets, and manufacturing quality define how a bicycle performs long before components enter the equation.
At Cyclingdragon, frame selection is guided by engineering logic, real-world performance, and long-term reliability rather than marketing claims or short-lived industry trends.
UCI approval remains an important reference point within our evaluation process. It provides a recognised testing framework and a proven benchmark for performance-oriented designs.
However, certification alone does not determine whether a frame deserves a place in our collection. Several manufacturers operate outside the UCI ecosystem while still producing frames with exceptional engineering, manufacturing precision, and structural quality.
Every frame is evaluated on its own merits. When a platform demonstrates the performance, durability, and manufacturing standards we expect, it earns consideration regardless of labels, certifications, or market position.
Our Evaluation Criteria
- Structural integrity and material quality
- Geometry consistency and design intent
- Manufacturing standards and quality control
- Real-world performance and ride characteristics
Frames are not chosen to follow rules. They are chosen to work.
Our Frame Collection
Each frame in our collection has passed our internal engineering criteria for performance, durability, and manufacturing quality. We do not aim to offer endless choices. We focus on frames we would confidently build, ride, and recommend ourselves.
